About FWV
The Fortstwirtschaftliche Vereinigung is an association of 26 forestry communities in the Münsterland region with a combined area of currently around 47,000 hectares of forest. As an umbrella organization, the FWV represents the interests of its members externally and develops market strategies and concepts to strengthen the market position and sustainability in the rural development of the Münsterland.

Ausgangs-situation
As an umbrella organization, the Forstwirtschaftliche Vereinigung Münsterland was faced with the major challenge of ensuring efficient organization of the membership structures and the associated support from state funds. Several disconnected stand-alone solutions and a lot of manual documentation work made the work of foresters, marketers and forestry associations extremely difficult. In collaboration with ACID21, an integrative concept consisting of an app and a linked web portal and marketplace was designed and programmed. This solution digitizes volume recording, timber sales, performance documentation and thus the provision of subsidies and bundles them in one place.
What were the challenges?
B2C wood auction on Appholzen.de
The firewood marketplace is an innovative platform for the whole of Germany that was specially designed by ACID21 for the B2C sector. Here, consumers can find wood that was not originally included in the marketing plan, for example due to tree death or leftover material. In order to use this wood efficiently and not leave it unused, special wood contingents are released for auction in the app. This gives private individuals the unique opportunity to obtain high-quality firewood directly and easily, while at the same time sustainably utilizing resources. It's a win-win for both sides.
Complete digitalization of forestry processes
Together with ACID21 GmbH, the forestry industry was revolutionized with three main components. The main platform serves as a central backend and admin area that manages everything from customer registration to billing and integrates the FWV. A specialized app records the location of timber stocks, which optimizes the planning of pick-ups and logistics. There is also a marketplace that enables the purchase and sale of timber and promotes networking in the forestry sector. Overall, AppHolzen offers a comprehensive, user-friendly solution for modern forestry operations. The entire process is digital only, no more paperwork. This makes the process 60-70% more efficient and saves time and money at the same time.
