About Rausch
The traditional company Rausch has stood for excellent chocolate products since 1918 and is a Berlin institution with its Schokoladenhaus am Gendarmenmarkt. Now in its fifth generation of family management, Rausch is committed to the highest quality standards - from sourcing fine cocoa directly from the plantations in the regions of origin to processing and sales. The relaunch of the online shop now reflects this quality in a delightful way.
Initial situation
The go-live of the shop relaunch was originally planned for the end of summer 2020, but the coronavirus crisis increased the pressure on the company to optimise its online business. With the reliable support of ACID21, Rausch was able to react quickly and purposefully to this imponderable. With the new online shop based on Shopware 5.6, Rausch presents a virtual cosmos that allows customers to immerse themselves in the world of fine cocoa. As a result, Rausch is now achieving strong growth rates in its online business and is well positioned for the future.

What were the challenges?
Customised Shopware shopping world for an emotional shopping experience
In the Rausch online shop, we created a customised Shopware shopping world to enable an emotional shopping experience for chocolate products. The focus here was on the close integration of content management and shop functionalities in order to offer individuality and unique shopping experiences. We paid particular attention to an emotional shopping experience and storytelling in order to intensify customer loyalty and increase conversion rates. The playful presentation of the products is intended to whet the appetite for the high-quality chocolate products. These measures not only create an appealing shopping experience, but also encourage customers to interact with the shop and thus increase the likelihood of repeat purchases.
Customised pick & mix tool for your personal touch
A highlight feature of the shop that ACID21 developed for Rausch is the customised Pick & Mix tool, which allows customers to add their own personal touch to their orders. This innovative tool allows each customer to select their desired mix of sweets in a kind of configurator, according to their personal taste and preferences. This customisation underlines the unique character of the online shop and offers customers a very special shopping experience. Every order thus becomes a personal voyage of discovery into the world of sweets, where customers can discover and enjoy their favourite chocolates. With this tool, we are setting an example for individuality and customer proximity in e-commerce.
Cross-seller integration in the shopping basket
We have also integrated further innovative functions into the Rausch online shop to increase customer satisfaction and efficiency. Cross-seller integration in the shopping basket using the Emarsys recommendation engine displays customer-specific product suggestions to increase the value of the shopping basket. The SAP connection enables real-time synchronisation of prices, stocks and orders to ensure that data is always up to date. In addition, we offer users the option of adding personal messages to individual greeting cards to personalise the shopping experience.
